RelayRunners.net is the web site for the Relay Runners Of the Rockies (RROR)running club based in Denver and the north metro suburbs including Broomfield, Westminster and Longmont.  However, if you reside elsewhere we welcome your partcipation in our races or workouts.

Our club was established in 2006 to build interest in relay running events. The contact person is Ben Wiley at benwiley@att.net or 303-746-3092 or 303-774-9534. Please call if you would like to participate in an upcoming event posted here. (Also, we plan to hold regular workouts at a regular time to be designated.) Runners of all abilities are invited, including disabled participants for designated events (such as the annual Slacker Half Marathon Relay).

CLUB RESULTS IN 2009:

COLFAX MARATHON RELAY on May 17, 2009 - representing Colorado Canine Rescue - completed in a net time of 3:44:51.  Congratulations to Jason, Devin, Amber, Kim, and Ben!!!!!  - 6th place of 44 teams in the mixed gender charity supporter category. 

PLATTE RIVER HALF-MARATHON RELAY on April 5th - completed in 2:00:28 (42nd place) under the team name of Moo, Mag & Match (abbreviations for the names of our dogs).

CLUB RESULTS IN 2008:

Denver Marathon Relay completed in 3:39:31. Congratulations to Mike, Amber, Ben and Chris.  Finish was 24th of 155 mixed gender relay teams and overall the finish was in the top 18% of all teams completing the event.   

Colorado-Colfax Relay in 3:40:16 - 4th place of 52 teams in the mixed gender Charity (Freedom Service Dogs) Team category.  Congratulations to Jason, Vic, Amy, Kim and Jim.

CLUB RESULTS IN 2007:

Colorado-Colfax Marathon Relay (May 20) - 3:31:45 - 11th place of 194 Mixed Co-ed Teams.  With of Team of Ben, Jason, Amy, Kim and Paul.   

PLATTE RIVER Half Marathon Relay (April 1) - 1:57:46 for 12th place in the Co-ed Division.  Ben, Kim and Jason running under the name Platte River Rat Pack.  (We beat our goal of going under 2 hours!) 

Club Results in 2006:

PLATTE RIVER RELAY (13.8 miles on April 2) - 1:48:30 for 10th place overall/5th for male teams. Congratulations to Ben, Jason and Victor!

COLORADO/COLFAX MARATHON RELAY (May 21) - 3:37:49 for 20th place among 176 teams. Congratulations Jason, Ben, Amy, Kim, & Jim under name of XTREME JOG.

ALL COMERS TRACK MEET in Boulder (July 6) - 4 X 400 meter relay in 4:36.3 - winning team of Ben, Noelle, Brianna & Jason - under name SnoCapXpress.

ALL COMERS TRACK MEET in Boulder (July 20) - 4 X 400 meter relay in 4:13 - winning team of Ben, Jason, Steve & Carl - Congratulations (Running under the name Wiley Coyote.)

ALL COMERS TRACK MEET in Boulder (August 3) - 4 X 400 meter relay in 4:41.5 - 2nd place team of Ben, Noelle, Brianna & Jason under name Wiley Coyote.

ALL COMERS TRACK MEET in Boulder (August 19) - 4 X 400 meter relay in 4:36.2 - 1st place team of Ben, Jill, Steve and Dave under name Wiley Coyote.

DENVER MARATHON RELAY - (October 15) - 4:11:54 - Vic for 20 miles and Ben for 10K - Placed 106th of 179 relay teams despite having 2 runners rather than 4.
